that is what sucks, not your first 1/4 time. I had the same exact thing happen to me on my first run. My clutch is bit worn but only spins a *little* if I powershift. But on my first run the car would just rev, so I shifted to 2nd and same thing. But then every run after that it ran fine, no slippage. I now think that what happened was the tires were slipping not the clutch. As much as you dont want to believe it I think it was the tires. The drag strip is very slippery when the tires are cold, even slippier than a wet road it seems.
